Honda City
Honda City can be hailed as the shark among scurrying fishes! No, that’s not a tall claim at all. Rather, if you delve deeper into what a piece of sheer brilliance this car is, you’ll know we’re not exaggerating. It comes with black interiors, crafted in premium and leather. Classy, stylish, and driven by panache, the Honda City sets new benchmarks in terms of care and safety with its exclusive ACE body structure that enhances self-protection while minimizing damage to other vehicles. To doubly ensure your protection, it even comes with the driver and front passenger SRS airbag, impact mitigating headrests and ABS with EBD. Honda City also comes with RR ISOFIX and Top Tether Anchor for Child Seats. With this, it will be easier and quicker to secure a compatible Child Seat perfectly in your car ensuring maximum safety for your little one.

2016 will witness Honda City getting a facelift in the form of subtle cosmetic upgrades with minor reshuffling in features. It’s been almost two years since the diesel engine powered Honda City took the Indian scenes by storm. The City Facelift is believed to make its India debut in Q3 in the festive season. According to industry experts, it might give a fierce competition to Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The mid-sized sedan will not be priced much differently from the current model around Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 13k. However, it could have a minor increased by 20k-25k. The 2016 Honda City Facelift could retain its current power line-up. The 1.5 litre naturally aspirated V-TEC petrol engine produces 120hp power and 14-Nm of peak torque, and comes mated with a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine makes 100 hp and 220Nm of torque connected to a five-speed manual transmission.
When it comes to mileage, the diesel engine claims to deliver 27 kmpl, thus proving its frugality. The petrol engine, on the other hand, will deliver 18kmpl. Coming to the exteriors, the front fascia features a bolder front grille with chrome strip running across. The changes to bumpers and headlights somewhat replicate the newly launched Jazz hatchback. The top-end trims receive a blackened B pillar as opposed to body coloured B pillars in lower variants. The rear end gets substantial upgrade with C-shaped tail lamps and the reverse light and indicators are placed in the middle. Additionally, a chrome strip runs across from one end to the other. On the inside, it is equipped with advanced elements such as 15.7 cm touch-screen, automatic climate control system, a premium audio system and eight speakers. Other features include engine start/stop button, audio and hands-free telephone controls, rear AC vents, paddle shift cruise control, electric sunroof, sat-nav system, privacy glass, and optional seven-inch infotainment system.
The on-road price for Honda City in Delhi is Rs. 8.93 lakhs, while that in Mumbai is Rs. 9.44 lakhs. It is approximately Rs. 9.64 lakhs in Bangalore, while in Chennai it is around Rs. 9.20 lakhs.
